The LAW stated that the GasReg shall be managed by a board of directors headed by the Competent Minister and composed of the following members:
- The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GasReg who shall be selected from the Petroleum Sector.
- Three members representing entities from the Petroleum Sector carrying out Gas Market Activities.
- The chairman of Egyptian competition Authority or whom he has nominated.
- Two independent members, other than Gas Market Parties, with expertise in the technical or economic or legal fields or from civil society organizations.
- The Chairman of Federation of Egyptian Industries or whom he has nominated.
