Accordingly, and in light of GasReg specializations and its awareness of the importance of that role, it began working from the first year on increasing awareness among consumers, informing them of their rights and responsibilities, and providing the necessary information about the gas market and associated services, as it attaches great importance to education and providing information as an effective means of protection through multiple means.

In this regard, there is a set of opportunities that can be maximized if joint cooperation is agreed upon, allowing the base available to each regulatory authority to be exploited to form a larger, integrated base that ensures coverage of all parts of the Republic and all segments of society.
He also pointed out the keenness of GasReg to implement the principles of governance, which represent Egypt’s Vision 2030, as the regulator has taken upon itself since its establishment to achieve efficiency and effectiveness, implement governance, and adhere to laws, rules and procedures in light of the rule of law and an institutional framework for review and oversight to achieve transparency.
Gas Reg has worked to develop a regulatory framework for practicing gas market activities that encourages attracting foreign investments.

Since its inception and during the previous years, GasReg has been able to achieve real and tangible progress in the performance of the Egyptian market and the entities operating in it.
Eng. Karem Mahmoud also said that it is important and necessary to work together on:
– Implementing unified policies to enhance transparency in all operations, while providing public access to information related to administrative services and decisions.
– Consider developing and improving control structures to ensure the effectiveness of monitoring, internal auditing and comprehensive periodic evaluation of the infrastructure.
– Taking full advantage of and adopting technology in monitoring and follow-up processes, such as artificial intelligence and data analysis, with the aim of enhancing the quality of monitoring and reporting.
